THE SPICE OF RELATIONSHIP AND SEX LIFE

In a day in a life of every girl on a university campus somewhere someone is in a   relationship, or in love or being pressured to date or pressured to break up  . During my stay in the university dating a rich guy or man became a   must. Living a lavish lifestyle was the eish; if you didn’t have a bone straight wig , or a deep wavy curl wig , an iPhone, a boyfriend with a car or  someone who could afford to take you to big places you will be considered as living a boring or broke girl life. I wonder were all this pressure came from? Was it always there? well we will never know .

Anyway I just noticed I never introduced myself I’m Cylia Burns .I just completed the University of Ghana. Anyway back to what I was saying . University taught me the good, the bad, the ugly but with all this I had a lot of fun . Back in level hundred I was the only single one among my friend group, everyone was with either a man or a campus boy. Time passed and  my friends kept asking, Cylia are you always going to be single do you always want to manage just what your parents give you  and note my parents were well to do I wasn’t poor  but in university money is never enough . I was convinced about what my friends said. I started dating but my relationship started facing a challenge.

One day, I visited a friend of mine Sandy and I told her about the challenges in my relationship, she shared a secret with me that “A good sex life is the spice of any relationship”, Sandy said, “it’s what keeps the love burning”.

I realized that I neglected this aspect of my relationship. That night, I took matters in to my own hands at my boyfriend’s apartment. I prepared a romantic dinner, adorned myself with beautiful beads and wore a beautiful lingerie and waited for him. When he arrived, exhausted from a whole day class, seeing the set up I made, he was impressed and quickly took a shower and joined me to watch a romantic netflix movie whiles having dinner.

During the movie I got closer to my boyfriend and I started to kiss and seduce him. He quickly understood that I wanted more than foreplay , he then asked me if I’m sure I wanted to go all the way and I said yes . He then carried me from where we were seated and placed me on the bed ,after a while of foreplay we had good sex. Since it was my first time it was a bit painful but it was still memorable.

From that day on, we made time for each other, prioritizing sex life and communication. Our relationship blossomed and to me, I thought the love got stronger. We then had sex countless times after the first time, I could say I was even addicted  but I didn’t mind because my boyfriend loved to satisfy me.
After a year and half my boyfriend broke  up with me , I felt used I then noticed he never loved me. I came to my senses that I failed all my exams in both years so I got dropped out of school. After narrating my story to the counsellor, she then advised me to prioritize time on education more than my social life.

Moral Lesson :
Staying focused is the ultimate goal to success.

Wimbledon champion Krejcikova dating her coach, reveals proposal excitement

Barbora Krejcikova emerged as the Wimbledon women's singles champion after a thrilling victory over Jasmine Paolini at the All England Club on Saturday.

The nail-biting match was decided in the third set, with Krejcikova having clinched the first 6-2, and Paolini bouncing back to win the second by the same score. However, Krejcikova outplayed Paolini in the decisive third set, breaking her serve to secure a 6-4 win.

Both Paolini and Krejcikova made it to the final following dramatic comeback victories in the semifinals against Croatia's Donna Vekic and 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan, respectively.

Barbora already boasts of the 2021 French Open singles title and seven Grand Slam doubles titles, including Wimbledon victories in 2018 and 2022.

Off the courts, Barbora keeps her fans guessing about her personal life and relationship status. On Friday night, the tennis star stirred up rumours that she's romantically involved with her coach Pavel Motl during a cryptic Q&A session.

During a rain delay on her doubles match with Laura Siegemund, 28-year-old Barbora answered a few questions and set tongues wagging about a possible romantic relationship with her coach. A fan asked: "Will Pavel propose to you if you win Wimbledon?".

Never one to shy away from stirring the pot, Barbora replied: "Pavel says he hasn't thought about it yet but he thanks for the idea!"

This isn't the first time she's been coy about her relationship with Pavel. In a previous Q&A, a fan asked: " Are you and Pavel a couple? " To which Barbora simply responded: "What do you think? " In response to another comment from the fan - "Yes because love always wins."

Barbora cheekily returned with a cryptic GIF that said: "I guess we'll never know now...will we?"

Barbora couldn't hold back the tears in her post-match interview when asked about the late Jana Novotna, a fellow Czech and former Wimbledon champion who died in 2017 after a brave battle with cancer.

Choked with emotion, Barbora said: "Definitely. I remember thinking about Jana a lot. I have so many beautiful memories and when I step on the court here I'm just fighting for every single ball as that is what she would want me to do."

Krejcikova has now joined an elite group of Czech women to make it to the Wimbledon final in the Open era. She's no stranger to Grand Slam glory, having already clinched the title at the French Open in 2021.

Good & Healthy Relationship Advice & Tips

10 Ways to plan a low budget wedding.

At least, once in every man/woman’s lifetime, they’d be event organisers or help in organising an event — their wedding — if they ever plan to settle down. Planning a wedding can sometimes be one hell of an experience, especially when vendors’ products/services can cost an arm and leg.

If you’ve enough to put together a luxurious wedding, why not? If you don’t, however, you must be careful in your expenses.

You shouldn’t sell your kidneys to have your wedding.

In our bid to impress people, we sometimes dig our own graves. Everyone is happy at our wedding except us because we start our honeymoon as a bankrupt double. Drowning in countless debts after a wedding is a needless choice a couple makes because having a properly-planned, low budget wedding is very possible.

There are two groups of people who are almost impossible to convince about anything; party foot soldiers and a couple who insist their wedding is a once-a-lifetime event, thus, don’t mind spending everything to make it memorable.

Food/drinks

We all want to have a buffet at our weddings but it goes without saying that not everyone can afford it.

If you are serious about having a prim, low budget wedding, the first thing to cut down on is the number of invited guests.

You will lose some good friends but, at least, you won’t lose your sanity. Remember that no matter how much you try, you can’t invite everybody to your wedding.

Cutting down your guest size automatically cuts down so many other expenses, especially food and drinks. Instead of a buffet, you can package well-sized pastries and meat for your guests.

You can get your assorted drinks at wholesale rates with an estimate of your guest list in mind. And mind you, after your wedding, you’d always have complaints of people not getting served.

We are in Africa!

Jewelry

You don’t need to buy jewelry at throat-cutting prices just because it’s your big day. Tell you what, most of these ornaments will hardly be seen by anyone. No one will know if your earrings are made of diamond or wood. What will sustain the marriage is the character of both spouses… not the jewelry type!

Gown

If you can afford an extremely flamboyant wedding gown, go for it.

However, if you are intentional about keeping a simple budget, you must buy your gown with the fact that you can’t wear it anywhere after your wedding in mind.

The groom’s tux can be worn over and over again but not the bride’s gown.

It’s like buying a car that can be driven only once in your life. You won’t spend so much in buying that car.

Unless you’re going to rent out your gown intermittently, you must spend only little on it.

If possible, have it hand sewn by a local fashion designer.

Pair of shoes

It’s interesting to know that most of the things we spend so much on to impress people are not even seen by them.

One of such is our pair of shoes. For the bride’s, her gown almost covers her feet and no one sees what’s down there.

Decoration

Your wedding is your big day and it is understandable you want the venue to look delectable.

However, you’d be amazed all the details you plan your decoration with will go unnoticed by many.

Most may not know your wedding colour was either beige or mauve.

Many will not even know the wedding theme was that of Black Panther or Jamaican.

Photography/videography

In this age of social media, photography/videography has almost become the bulkiest part of the wedding budget of most couples about to walk down the aisle.

These come in the form of pre-wedding, wedding and post-wedding shoots.

Some of these services can cost, at least, GHC10,000 while others even quote their rates in dollars.

Keeping a low budget means finding vendors who can give you a service that falls within your financial strength.

Pictures age. Videos become old with time, too. Cut down on how much you spend on such.

Reception venue

Possibly, you can have your reception right at the church grounds.

Renting a different space outside the church creates a lot of inconveniences to some guests, especially those who may not be driving their own cars.

Aside all these inconveniences, it helps you save some money. If you can have space to contain your guests in the church where you wed, go for it.

It saves needless expenses.

Clothing bridal team

If you want your friends to be on your bridal team, oftentimes, you must be prepared to clothe them because you may be crashing in on someone’s monthly budget.

However, having a ‘tight’ budget means doing away with some of these expenses.

If you can’t do away with this bridal team, convince them to, at least, clothe themselves.

Bridal convoy

Get friends to use their cars as the bridal convoy.

After all, what are friends for!?

There’s nothing shameful about using what you have.

Needless to rent a fleet of luxurious cars… only to be seen walking on foot a day later.

Hiring event organisers

Leaving your wedding in the hands of event organisers because of reasons best known to you is great.

However, as much as possible, you must handle the organisation of your own wedding.

Aside the experience it gives you, it helps you save all that money you would have spent on over-priced goods/services of organisers.

If it’s an MC you need, save money.

Get one of your eloquent friends to do it.

They even know you better than any other person will.

Always remember that no one will remember how awesome or boring your wedding was a week after it has passed.

Thank God for forgetfulness.

So… give yourself a break!

The success of a marriage doesn’t depend on how little or big the wedding was.

Stormzy and Maya Jama announce split

The rapper and Love Island presenter shared a joint statement on Instagram, saying they had been trying to make their relationship work since they got back together last year.

"We tried, and it didn't work, and that's okay," they said.

The post started: "We've been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we'd be the couple announcing a breakup.

"But for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that's needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to."

The pair said they fell "madly in love in 2014" before breaking up five years later.

"We decided to try for the final time in August 2023, and we've spent this past year trying our best to make it work; however, we recently decided to call it quits," they said.

"We were 21 and 20 when we first met - both at the beginning of our careers - and spent five years growing together and then five years growing separately, so this final attempt required a whole lot of figuring out, relearning, and unlearning."

The pair added that they would remain friends, and asked for people "not to cause a fuss" if they see them catching up if they cross paths in the future at events like The Brit Awards.

"We still think the absolute world of each other, we still care and respect each other, we are still grateful for the time we've had together, and we are still friends and will always be friends."

The post ended: "We're kindly asking for the grace to let both of us keep it moving and not be bothered about it (we highly doubt this'll work, but we're still kindly asking anyway).

"Love you guys and thank you for all the love you've showered us with, it's been beautiful."

Didn’t know I would live to be 90 — Wole Soyinka

Renowned Nigerian playwright, novelist, poet, and essayist, Professor Wole Soyinka has said he never knew he would live to be 90 years old.

He added that he decided to be a writer to correct some anomalies from stories he heard while growing up.

The Nobel Laureate said these while answering questions from about 383 students. The students participated in the 2024 edition of the Wole Soyinka International Cultural Exchange Programme.

The event was held at Prof. Soyinka’s ARI residence, Ijegba, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on  Monday, July 14.

Professor Soyinka was born on July 13, 1934. He clocked 90 years on Saturday.

On why he broke into a radio station during the military era, Soyinka said: “I never broke into a radio station, but sneaked in.

“The radio station was holding on to something that belonged to the people. And I decided to retrieve it. If that item had been played, it would have demoralized the people and established the culture of brutality.”

Also, he chided Nigerians for always critising the State but refusing to examine themselves.

He noted that crimes like kidnapping and robbery, among others, are not because of poverty or inequality. Soyinka said they were due to selfishness and the desire to live a luxurious life.

He lauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for helping to develop the environment around his abode and saving it from degradation, even as he emphasized that this has led to his not abandoning the country.

President launches GH¢8.2bn SME programme.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo yesterday launched an SME Growth and Opportunity programme which prioritises targeted interventions that support the government's goal of creating SME champions that can take Ghanaian products and innovations global.

Under the programme which is being financed by the government, and local and international financial institutions, an amount of GH¢8.2 billion has been made available, alongside technical and business support for participating SMEs.

President Akufo-Addo explained that the programme would be coordinated jointly by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

The Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), Ghana Exim Bank and the Development Bank Ghana (DBG) will be the principal implementing agencies that will work without too many bureaucratic entanglements.

Disbursement

President Akufo-Addo, assisted by some ministers, commenced disbursement of the funds, with some beneficiaries receiving GH¢1 million at the programme.

President Akufo-Addo explained further that these institutions would offer support to beneficiaries directly and indirectly through participating financial institutions such as the Ghana Exim Bank.

These banks, he noted, would be supported with some GH¢ 700 million to offer SMEs highly subsidised financial support for both capital and operating expenditures and offer capacity-building to programme beneficiaries.

A dedicated window for the 1D1F initiative is also to be set up to ensure optimal synergies within this structural project.

GEA, on the other hand, will be supported with some GH¢ 230 million and will target high-growth SMEs employing 100 persons or more with small-scale grants and loans of up to two years at highly subsidised rates.

Newly created fund

President Akufo-Addo said the DBG would contribute to the initiative through its newly created MSME Innovate and Grow Fund. He added that through financial institutions, it would provide loans of up to five years for SMEs with tailored repayment conditions to support businesses and that the loan amount would be decided on a case-by-case basis out of an envelope of 1.4 billion CDs.

“The Ministry of Finance has successfully mobilised a total of 8.2 billion CDs from both public and private sector sources earmarked for disbursement to eligible small and medium-sized enterprises under the SME GO Programme,” he stated.

Innovation Hub

President Akufo-Addo announced that as part of the Growth and Opportunity Programme, for instance, Ghana Exim Bank would set up a novel food innovation hub within the next three months to support all MSMEs in the food industry with testing and scaling up production in the Standard Food Processing Pilot Plant.

He indicated that the Food Processing Pilot Plant would be located on the University of Ghana campus and would incorporate installed processing equipment, warehousing space, a testing lab and a suite for SMEs to interact with relevant regulatory authorities directly.

The plant, he added, would provide essentially a vital resource for food companies that were just starting out which did not have sufficient funding to purchase equipment for SMEs that needed to evaluate new processes and product lines.

Through this intervention, he said, the government would make the food processing process more readily available as this capacity-building initiative would ensure that any SME who might not have sufficient capital and technical capacity could pay a one-time fee at the pilot plant to access modern and sophisticated processing equipment that would allow the SME to produce at scale, while being supported by food scientists and other specialists.

President Akufo-Addo said Exim Bank officials would also be on hand to offer support with packaging and branding and generally meet relevant standards for beneficiaries of the plant to have their products ready for export.

GEA and DBG will also support programme beneficiaries with targeted training encompassing financial management, regulatory compliance, digitalisation in business, business plan development and many other topics.

An online application portal has been developed by our technology partners who will ensure that the screening process is fair and transparent and prioritises SMEs that can demonstrate robust growth prospects.

Indeed, after today's event, all interested SMEs can visit the GEA and Ghana Ex-Im websites and be directed to the portal to apply for programme support.

Elon Musk plans to donate $45 million monthly to back Donald Trump's reelection campaign

Tech mogul and billionaire Elon Musk has said he will donate $45 million a month to a new super political-action committee backing former president Donald Trump's reelection campaign.

The Tesla founder had indicated that he planned to start his donations in July to the America PAC, backing former President Donald Trump's presidential run, according to the Wall Street Journal. However, the South Africa-born businessman was not listed on a Monday filing by the group, which shows that it has raised more than $8 million.

But the super PAC, which was formed in late May, has received contributions from other high-profile entrepreneurs, including Palantir co-founder Joe Lonsdale and crypto billionaires Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, the filing showed.

Lonsdale donated $1 million to America PAC through Lonsdale Enterprises, an entity linked to the eponymous tech investor, multiple outlets reported.

Musk remains the only Fortune 100 CEO to fully endorse a candidate in the 2024 presidential race.

The SpaceX CEO announced his endorsement for Trump following the Saturday assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

"I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery," Musk wrote on X Saturday while sharing a video of the moment after a bullet struck his right ear.

Musk has said he previously voted for Democratic candidates including President Joe Biden in the three previous election cycles. But in recent years, the tech mogul has voiced his frustration with Democrat policies such as Biden's indefinite support for labor unions and his decisions regarding immigration and the border.

Enzo Fernandez: See the Chelsea star's apology for singing a racist chant

Chelsea are investigating a video posted on social media by midfielder Enzo Fernandez that the French Football Federation says includes an alleged "racist and discriminatory" chant.

On Tuesday the FFF said it would file a complaint to world governing body FIFA over the video featuring a song sung by some of the Argentina squad about France's players.

Fernandez's Chelsea team-mate Wesley Fofana, who has one cap for France, posted an image of the video on Instagram describing it as "uninhibited racism".

BBC Sport understands Chelsea are investigating the incident.

Fernandez said he is "truly sorry" for the video he posted as Argentina celebrated winning the Copa America.

"The song includes highly offensive language and there is absolutely no excuse for these words," he said.

"I stand against discrimination in all forms and apologize for getting caught up in the euphoria of our Copa America celebrations.

"That video, that moments, those words, do not reflect my beliefs or my character."

The FFF will contact the Argentine Football Association (AFA) about live video posted on social media by Fernandez after Argentina beat Colombia 1-0 in the Copa America final on Sunday.

A statement from the FFF, external said that president Philippe Diallo "condemns in the strongest terms the unacceptable and discriminatory remarks that were made against the players of the French team".

It added: "Faced with the seriousness of these shocking remarks, contrary to the values of sport and human rights, the president of the FFF decided to directly appeal to his Argentine counterpart and FIFA and to file a legal complaint for racially offensive and discriminatory remarks."

The Argentine FA has been approached for comment.

France beat Argentina in the last 16 of the 2018 World Cup, and Argentina beat France in the final of the 2022 World Cup.

Chelsea have seven France players who are black or mixed race in their first-team squad - Fofana, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Lesley Ugochukwu, Christopher Nkunku, Malo Gusto and Malang Sarr.

After the incident, several of Fernandez's Chelsea compatriots unfollowed him on Instagram, including Wesley Fofana, Malo Gusto and Axel Disasi. The Chelsea squad are reportedly very angry about the chats, with Fofana having called the video "racism." The French trio will have to face the former Benfica midfielder soon though as he is due to join back up with the Blues for pre-season ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Adele announces break from music

English singer/songwriter Adele will wrap up her Weekends with Adele residency in Las Vegas on November 23. That means her superfans have exactly 10 chances left to catch the singer’s long-running stay-put show before, as she recently revealed in an interview, she goes away for a while.

Speaking to Germany’s ZDF and reported by Billboard.com, Adele, 36, dropped the bombshell, “I don’t have any plans for new music at all.” In fact, the star who said she “doesn’t like being famous,” added, “I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while.”

Adele kicked off her Weekends run in November 2022 and plans to call the show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace quits with her final scheduled performance on Nov. 23. Before then, she will play a series of gigs in Munich at a specially built 80,000-capacity venue on August 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 16, 23, 24, 30 and 31.

She said that the run of 100 live shows over the past two years have left her feeling as if her “tank is quite empty.”

After announcing the initial run of Munich shows, Adele wrote on Instagram, “So a few months ago I got a call about a summer run of shows. I’ve been content as anything with my shows in London’s Hyde Park and my residency in Vegas, so I hadn’t had any other plans.

However, I was too curious to not follow up and indulge in this idea – a one off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on.”

The singer — who has not gone on a world tour since her 2016-2017 run in support of her 25 album — has made a habit of taking time for herself between albums and tours. Those stretches out of the public eye have increased over time, from three years between her 2008 debut, 19, and 2011’s 21, to four years until her 2015 LP 25 and six between that album and 2021’s 30.

2024 Style Trends – What’s Coming, Going And How To Stay In Style

Wondering what trends are coming or going for the new year? Here are some predictions for 2024 style trends, and what I think of each one!

Trends are always coming and going, and it’s hard to keep track! Here are some predictions for 2024 style trends, which ones I’m liking, hating, which ones from last year are sticking around, and which 2024 trends I’m planning to try.

2024 STYLE TRENDS

Blazers: If you invested in a blazer in the last few years (they’ve been really trendy for the last few years), you’re in luck because they’re sticking around! They’re huge in 2024, but we’re seeing them in more solid colors, less plaids and prints. You can still absolutely wear the solid colors, but if you’re looking to add one to your closet this year, maybe choose a super classic black or navy. I’m also seeing them paired with basics like tees and bodysuits AND with button up shirts for more of an office vibe (but then dressed down with jeans and sneakers or boots).

Also, blazer trends have been really oversized the last few years, and this year they’re a little less oversized. Not fitted, like we did in 2010, but more of a relaxed fit with structured shoulders. My favorite one that I purchased last month was THIS ONE and it fits that criteria perfectly.

Metallics: The metallic trend is huge this year. It started last year and is still going strong, with even a lot of metallic jeans in stores right now. I haven’t gone so far as that, but I do like a lot of metallic in my jewelry. Also, it must be noted that SILVER IS BACK. We’ve been on a gold kick for about a decade, and now silver is on its way back. I haven’t worn silver jewelry in years, but I think I’ll be mixing it in a little bit here and there this year…and yes, you can absolutely mix and match metallics in your jewelry!

Ballet Flats: This was a trend I mentioned last year as one that was on its way in, and it took till the end of the year to really get mainstream, but now they’re in tons of stores. I personally don’t love the traditional ballet flat, but I do love an embellished option (like these that I’ve worn a ton the last month), or something with a pointed or slightly squared off toe. The traditional round ones with a little bow are not for me.

Older styles of heels we haven’t seen in a while: Mary Janes, Kitten Heels, and Sling Backs: These heels all remind me of the ones my mom and her friends wore when I was a kid, so I’m a little hesitant on most of them. But I think the key, as with any trend you want to try, is to choose it in a classic color, or with a modern or classic element that keeps it from feeling like you just pulled it out of the donation bin from 1990. Look for pointed toes, patent leather, sleek black or nude, or with modern embellishments like a metallic color or a ribbon sling back like the gorgeous dior pair.

Emma Roberts Engaged to Actor Cody John: See Her Ring

Emma Roberts, who shares 3-year-old son Rhodes with ex Garrett Hedlund, announced she's engaged to actor Cody John while debuting her ring.

This news is anything but unfabulous: Emma Roberts is engaged to actor Cody John.

The American Horror Story actress announced her relationship update in a cheeky Instagram message July 16, writing alongside a heart, "putting this here before my mom tells everyone."

Emma's hilarious caption is a reference to her mom, Kelly Cunningham, publicly confirming her pregnancy with and ex Garrett Hedlund's son Rhodes back in 2020, which resulted in the Nickelodeon alum blocking her on Instagram.

This time, though, Kelly waited for Emma—her dad is actor Eric Roberts—to announce the news before sharing the post on her Instagram Story, writing, "Congratulations!"

And it seems like Emma's sister Grace Nickels approves. As she commented, "COCO summer 4EVER."

Emma, the niece of Julia Roberts, and Cody—who started dating in 2022—also received a flood of celebratory messages from fans and friends, including pregnant pal Lea Michele who commented, "Already planning the bachelorette!!!! So happy for you babe!!!"

Meanwhile, Nina DobrevLindsay Lohan and Ashley Tisdale wrote matching "congrats" messages and Britt Robertson commented, "Yesssssssss!!!! Love this for you both!"

INDIAN SUMMONS ENVOY TO RAISE PRESIDENT VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY'S CRITICISM- OF- MODI- PUTIN MEET.

India summoned a Ukrainian envoy over President Volodymyr Zelensky's criticism of a meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin last week, the Economic Times newspaper reported on July 16.

Speaking a day after a deadly Russian attack on July 8 that damaged a children's hospital, Zelensky called Modi's trip to Russia and his embrace with the Russian leader "a huge disappointment and a devastating blow to peace efforts."

The criticism caused displeasure in New Delhi, as the Indian Foreign Ministry summoned the Ukrainian ambassador on July 15 to raise the issue, the Economic Times wrote without revealing the source of the information.

THE SPICE OF RELATIONSHIP AND SEX LIFE

In a day in a life of every girl on a university campus somewhere someone is in a   relationship, or in love or being pressured to date or...
